Deeside Sub Aqua Club has undertaken this project to map the wreck of SS Trebartha and:

• Engage club divers

• Provide opportunities for all club members to go diving

• Create opportunities for all club members to further their diving capabilities

• Document history of SS Trebartha

• Produce a sketch of the wreck site

• Enhance wreck site with photos and videos

• Create Photogrammetry models of wreck components

• Create Side scan model of wreck

• Remove Abandoned, Lost and Discarded Fishing Gear (ALDFG) from the wreck

• Remove debris and rubbish of the wreck

• Monitor the sea life on the wreck

We selected SS Trebartha for a number of reasons:

• The depth of the wreck (around 17m) makes it accessible to all levels of our club divers

• The depth of the wreck allows divers to spend a fair bit of time without the need for long decompression stops

• The wreck is easily accessible by our club RHIBs from Stonehaven which is local to us

• Due to it’s location this wreck is linked to other wrecks in the vicinity
